Liempo King in Cagayan de Oro is the brainchild of a local entrepreneur and food enthusiast. The store’s flagship product, lechon liempo, was conceived as a clever way to enjoy the taste of lechon without having to go through the costly and tiring effort of roasting an entire pig.
Lechon liempo tastes almost like traditional lechon because of its crispy skin and tasty meat. At Liempo King, in between each cut of pork belly is a generous helping of tasty herbs and spices. The marinade and seasoning is prepared each day by no less than its owner who took two years to experiment and perfect his secret recipe.
